When PO3 takes control, he wants to start The Great Transcendence and permanently take over as Prime Scrybe. When the game is reset, each Scrybe reverts to their original position, though they retain their memories. Regardless, within Inscryption, each Scrybe is constantly trying to find the OLD_DATA and whichever possess the necessary fragment of it at a given time is the Prime Scrybe. Some theories suspect she was the final player before Carder found Inscryption and is the reason why Leshy starts out as the prime Scrybe. In universe, a man named Barry Wilkinson is the only person who has successfully solved the Karnoffel Code, which he obtained from the corpse of Adolph Hitler.īefore her death, it seems that Hobbes was also working to solve the Code, but GameFuna found out and executed her before she could turn against them. Throughout the game, you can find references to something called the Karnoffel Code, which seems to be how someone would encrypt the OLD_DATA. This seems to be why the game is aware of itself and why PO3 wants to upload its version to the internet. The OLD_DATA is apparently something of great evil that has seemingly made the games that are trying to keep it under wraps sentient. She shoots Luke in the head before the screen goes to black and the credits play. He opens up it and you see a woman from GameFuna who popped up in earlier footage. He's talking to a reporter about Inscryption when someone knocks at his door. We haven't mentioned this footage in our walkthrough because we didn't want to spoil it, but you're forced to see it by the game, so it's nearly impossible to miss. Next, you'll see Luke Carder, a real-world person who've you've seen in various bits of footage throughout the course of the game. Once she's finished, the game will delete itself. After you fight Magnificus, you'll need to walk forward and talk to the Woodcarver who has the OLD_DATA. Simply go through the fights until the game's files delete the boss and you move on to the next one.
You'll then need to work your way through Grimora, Leshy, and Magnificus' versions of Inscryption.įortunately, it doesn't really seem like you can mess these up.
Then, everything starts to go haywire as the game deletes itself. Before PO3 can upload his game, Leshy will reappear and seemingly kill PO3. Once they're finished talking go back upstairs and head back to the board.įollow PO3's instructions to get to the finish. They will tell you that you have to keep playing so that they can stop PO3 from uploading his version of Inscryption onto the internet. When you regain control, turn around and you'll see Grimora, Leshy, and Magnificus waiting for you. It's now online, so you can use it to warp down into a dark room. Head to the back of the third room (where you found the gem robot) and interact with the final Captcha puzzle. After you takedown Golly, PO3 will tell sned you to check out a security camera that's gone offline.
